Pat Kissinger said that more than 70%of the silicon area of the Panther Lake processor will be produced by Intels internal foundry, although most of the silicon area of the Panther Lake processor will be caused byInternal manufacturing, but some modules will still use external foundry.This hybrid manufacturing model helps optimize production efficiency.
The CPU part of the Panther Lake processor will be equipped with the Cougar Lake performance nuclear and Darkmont energy -efficient core to achieve higher performance and energy efficiency ratio.The GPU of the processor will use the XE3 "Celestial" architecture, and the NPU part will be upgraded to the fifth generation to further enhance graphic processing and artificial intelligence computing power.
In addition, Pat Kissinger also mentioned the Nova Lake processor after Panther Lake.He said that although Intel will consider using external foundry on some SKUs, most of the NOVA LAKE model and more module manufacturing will return to the internal foundry model.This shows that Intel will continue to strengthen internal manufacturing capabilities to cope with future market competition.
