今天我們學習一些與社交相關的詞彙。
1. strengthen /streŋθ(ə)n/
v. 增進(關係或聯絡);使變得更緊密
常見搭配:strengthen bonds/relationships 增進;加強感情
e.g. Regular communication helps strengthen the bonds between friends, even if they are miles apart.
e.g. Sharing both joys and sorrows with friends helps todeepen and strengthen the emotional bondsbetween them.
補充:share joys and sorrows 與某人苦樂與共。
2. cherished /ˈtʃɛrɪʃt/
adj. 珍貴的;備受重視的
搭配:cherished friends 珍貴的朋友
cherished memories 珍貴的記憶
e.g. Over the years, Sarah and Emma have become cherished friends, supporting each other through thick and thin.
e.g. The road trip allowed the family to share laughter and cherished memorizes.
補充:through thick and thin 同甘共苦
v. cherish 珍視;珍惜
e.g. Its essential to cherish the friendships that stand the test of time and offer support during both good and challenging times.
3. anchor /æŋkə/
n. 支柱;靠山
常見搭配:emotional anchor 情感支柱;靠山
e.g. My sister is my emotional anchor who can provide me a shoulder to cry on during challenging times.
e.g. For many people, their pets serve as emotional anchors, offering unconditional love and companionship.

4. isolated /ˈaɪsəˌleɪtɪd/
v. 孤獨的;孤寂的;孤立無援的
e.g. She felt isolated in her new school and it took her almost a year to fit in and find a sense of belonging.
補充:fit in 融入

n. isolation /aɪsəleɪʃ(ə)n/
e.g. When students study abroad, they may encounter feelings of isolation.
e.g. Engaging in some activities where you can meet like-minded people can help mitigate isolation.
